Why We Love This Watch

The Direnzo DRZ06's nickname, the Wandering Star, comes from the rotating red circle on the small seconds disc, and is one of the highlights of this design, especially when observing the Wandering Star at night, with the background of the disc being very generously lumed with Swiss Super-LumiNova BGW9 cyan-blue lume.

There is a lot to enjoy here, from the dish shaped fumé gradient soft-sunburst sandwich dial with lollipop style indices, all very much in keeping with Direnzo's well established design aesthetics, to the contrasting brushed finishes with polished accents and bead-blasted recesses on the side of the curbed cushion case, to the strongly tapering integrated H-link bracelet with matching brushed and polished finishes and very high quality soft and supple German leather integrated leather straps, to the exhibition case back that very nicely shows off the decorated elaboré special grade hand-wound high beat Swiss mechanical movement.

Good looks aren't everything, so we're pleased to say that the Direnzo DRZ06 is very much a practical every-day wear sports dress watch too, with 100 meters of water resistance, an 800 Vickers hardened scratch resistant finish, scratch resistant sapphire crystal on both the front and back of the watch, a highly reliable Sellita SW216-1 movement with an Incabloc shock protection system and increased accuracy, excellent night-time legibility, and tool-less quick release pins on both the bracelet and leather straps that facilitate easy strap changes.

In short, this is another excellent design from our favorite Swiss microbrand.
