Selten Watch Company

Leonardo Tsai, (Kin Leung Tsai,) the founder of Selten Watch Company, comes from a family of watch professionals with a rich horological heritage. After graduating, Leonardo started his career at J. P. Morgan before eventually transitioning to start his own microbrand, Selten Watch Company, in 2017.

"Selten" is the German word for "rare", and we think is very apt as a brand name since the Selten Watch Company designs we've been attracted to exhibit great attention to detail and maturity, something that is not at all common among start-up microbrands. A great example of this is Selten's unique pairing of bronze dive watch cases (which can patina so nicely over time) with hand made dials featuring chemically induced custom patinas in a range of vivid colors.
